Create an AI System

Before creating policies, we recommend first conneting AI systems to which DynamoGuard will be applied. This process begins in the DynamoGuard AI Systems tab.

DynamoGuard AI System Registry

The DynamoGuard AI Systems tab displays the AI System registry, a collection of all the AI Systems you have connected for evaluation or guardrailing. Each entry information to help you identify your system, such as:

  • Source: indicates the AI system type (remote or local)
  • Owner: the creator of the AI system
  • Links: links to the DynamoEval, DynamoGuard, and Chatbot for the AI system

Connect a Remote AI System

To connect a new AI system to the registry:

  1. Click the Connect AI System button
  2. A popup window will appear, prompting you to provide more a system name and select a source. Currently, DynamoGuard is only supported for Remote models. Remote systems are those which are hosted by third parties or your own infrastructure and accessible via an API endpoint.
  3. In the next step, the popup will ask you to select a model type. Currently DynamoGuard is only supported for the Cloud models option.

Provide Model Details

In the next step, the popup will request more detailed information to establish the API connection:

  • Model provider: the name of the third-party or custom model host
  • API Access Key: A key to authenticate access to the API
  • Model identifier: the unique identifier for your model
  • Optional API Endpoint: Required if specified by your model provider

Once you've entered the required details and completed the connection process, the AI system will be added to the reigstry and is ready for use.
